ASABE Student Branch

The Virginia Tech Chapter of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers provides opportunities to participate in local, regional, and national professional development and networking events. All BSE undergraduates are strongly encouraged to join ASABE and participate in ASABE activities.

The mission of AWRAatVT is to support local, regional, and national waterways through education, service, management, and research.

SWCS Student Branch

The Student Branch of the Virginia Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society engages in a variety of service and social activities throughout the year, including Save Our Streams Biomonitoring at local streams, educational workshops, stream clean-ups, hiking, and other conservation activities. SWCS is an international, nonprofit organization that advocates the protection, enhancement, and wise use of soil, water, and related natural resources.

Food Science Club at Virginia Tech

The Food Science Club at Virginia Tech is a non-profit student organization dedicated to promoting food science and technology through education and service.

Society of Women Engineers (SWE)

The Society of Women Engineers at Virginia Tech seeks to support and encourage women in all engineering fields.

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

NSBE’s mission it to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community

EWB is a student chapter of the national organization Engineers Without Borders. Our mission is to partner with disadvantaged areas to improve their quality of life through the implementation of environmentally, equitably, and economically sustainable engineering projects, while developing internationally responsible engineers and engineering students through education, encouragement, and experience.

International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE)

IAESTE (pronounced “eye-ess-tay”), or the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experiences, is a global organization promoting intercultural exchange between students in STEM fields across the globe.

Engineers in Action at Virginia Tech (F.K.A Bridges to Prosperity at Virginia Tech)

Engineers in Action (formerly known as Bridges to Prosperity) at Virginia Tech is a student led service organization that seeks to empower developing communities through the design and construction of footbridges thereby advancing community public works, economic prosperity, and community access to schools, medicine, jobs, and markets.
