Focus: Stormwater, Water Resources, PFAS, Contaminant Fate and Transport
Ava's current research is focused on the fate and transport of per and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in coastal stormwater systems and legacy PFAS release potential from sediment following storm events. Future research will investigate dynamics between antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and PFAS in stormwater systems.
