Fengze's research looks at designing a microneedle patch using a biocompatible hydrogel. This hydrogel-derived microneedle patch has been shown to have a variety of applications. It has been used to deliver water-soluble drugs. In addition, it has been designed to extract interstitial fluid for colorimetric reactions, such as the glucose oxidation reaction, to detect glucose levels.
