Daily university life demands can induce stress on students. Students need recreational outlets, social supports, and mental health resources to cope with the stress and anxiety they will experience. The right column has links to several resources provided by the university. 

Additionally, there are resources available to you within the department.

Gradaute Students

In addition to your graduate advisor, you can approach any member of the graduate program committee (GPC) with any concerns you might have about your experiences in the program. 

Undergraduate Students

In additon to your undergraduate advisor, you can approach any member of the faculty  with any concerns you might have about your experiences in the program. 

The department also welcomes your suggestions for improving student experiences in the department, for you and your peers.

Stress-Busting the Senses
Feeling overwhelmed or unfocused? Try out this mindfulness technique: To bring your awareness to the present, take a moment to identify five things you can see, hear, smell, taste, & feel while taking slow deep breaths. This technique helps refocus and calm the senses and brain.
