Mia Wichmann

Mia Wichmann from Wilmington, DE, is a junior majoring in BSE following the biotechnology track while minoring in Biomedical Engineering. In the future, Mia hopes to work in the biopharmaceutical industry developing new methods to make drugs and vaccines more accessible especially to underserved communities.

This past summer, she worked at Ashland in Wilmington DE where she worked in a pharmaceutical group on application studies for a new polymer product. She completed multi-factorial design of experiments with various processes and formulations. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, or watching the sunset.

She is thankful for the BSE ambassadors who shared their love of the department when she was a prospective student and is excited to spread her enthusiasm to potential students.
